    Job summary

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable dealing with a high amount of volume, due to the transactional nature of the account. Working within a team of eight, there will initially be a high degree of support, particularly from the two existing underwriting assistants and one assistant underwriter, but the candidate will then need to be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to manage their own time and be collaborative in the overall success of the team.

The team and the account is quite fast-paced, so someone with strong basic IT skills would be preferred, as almost all work will be computer-based. Whilst no real prior insurance knowledge is necessary, in time, the candidate will need to be able to make decisions without constant referral, and so a logical and adaptable mindset is needed.
