On our two-year Data Analytics programme, you’ll become part of our Data Exploitation department, gaining insight into all our core activities, including service delivery, project management, procurement, security, strategic development, ERP systems, and software and asset management.
With multiple sites across the UK and many more around the world, we have a lot of major infrastructure to maintain and a lot of stakeholders to engage - meaning you'll quickly gain exposure to the heart of our business.
Data Analytics at Babcock
Our Data Exploitation department helps the most critical parts of our business to make decisions when they count.
Working within the Data Analytics team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects, as well as developing broader skills along the way. Capability areas include mathematical modelling and simulation, advanced statistical analysis, predictive analysis, web development, data visualisation, information-related technology development and strategy development.
Along the way, you’ll partner up with a lot of different teams within Babcock and learn from them as you go.
What you'll need
- A (Hons) degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Operational Research and/or Computer Science.
- Many of our early careers roles are subject to Security Clearance and Trade Control restrictions which mean that your place of birth, nationality, citizenship, or residency you hold or have held may impact which roles you are eligible for. Where you'll be based
Places on our Data Analytics programme for Autumn 2025 are available in our Nuclear sector in Bristol.
Our business in Bristol is a key strategic partner to our customers – the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Royal Navy. We ensure the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by sustaining the submarines with updates, design and documentation, upgrades and overhauls. We are developing innovative Operations Centres, technology insertion programmes, predictive data analytics and visualisation and training aids using games engine technologies.
Your home base will be the Bristol office, but some of your placements may be at other sites.
