What you’ll be doing

You will be based in a UK-wide team of engineers and subject matter experts, working to support the Royal Navy by keeping submarines safe and available.

Working in our Bristol office you will collaborate with peers across several Babcock bases (including Devonport, Clyde, and Leicester), you will have the opportunity to engage with MOD and Royal Navy personnel and make a real difference and contribute towards supporting the Royal Navy’s submarine fleet, through experience working with a variety of teams, including engineering and project management.

You’ll spend your placement year getting hands-on with some of the world’s most advanced naval technology. You’ll have a variety of different opportunities, working as part of technical departments, project management, or production teams.

What you’ll need

  • Studying a STEM degree
  • Many of our early career roles are subject to security clearance and Trade Control restrictions which mean that your place of birth, nationality, citizenship, or residency you hold or have held may impact which roles you are eligible for.
