Running from June to August, our Software Development Summer internship has two key strands. Following a week’s induction, you and your fellow interns will work together as a team on a live technical project for the firm. What’s important is that you’ll have responsibility for the full lifecycle - from taking the initial brief to project planning, programming, testing and delivery. At every stage, you’ll meet with our experienced technical and business leads, who will support you throughout the process.

Running alongside your project, you will have a range of development opportunities with other teams in the department. So, in the first weeks when you are gathering requirements, you will spend time learning from our Business Analysts. Then you’ll meet with Project Managers to learn more about our Agile working environment and see how other teams put Agile methods into practice. There will also be exposure to quality analysis and development procedures, plus the chance to see first-hand the work of testers and developers. So, as you spend time with the experts, you will be able to apply what you learn directly to your technical project.

    What we’re looking for

    • A penultimate year student studying a software development related degree
    • A passion for technology – we’re looking for people who have a genuine interest in how we can harness the benefits of technology and how it can have a positive impact on everything we do
    • A desire to learn – you’ll require a thirst for learning and a willingness to embrace challenges
    • Great relationship and networking skills – the internship involves building strong relationships and working collaboratively so you’ll need to be able to work with a range of people at all levels
    • A critical thinker who enjoys problem-solving – we’re looking for people who enjoy working with complex scenarios and can collaborate with others to successfully deliver a project

If this sounds like you then we want to hear from you! To apply, please submit your CV and complete our online application form.
