As a Barclays Graduate Software Developer, you will have first-hand experience of our interest rate, foreign exchange and emerging markets trading businesses, part of our investment banking business at Barclays. Your responsibilities include learning to combine technical and business knowledge to design and developing software solutions to support the growth and enhancement of our trading businesses working with a multi-disciplinary global team spread across the UK, Europe, United States and India.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
- Buddying up with a former graduate recruit in the team who will support you from day one
- Helping us solve real business problems for our business Clients
- Learning all about banking, financial products, data business analysis, architecture, controls and project management
- Working as part of our diverse technology team
- Delivering complex front-to-back initiatives for a broad range of stakeholders
- Acting with appropriate autonomy and authority, owning your decisions; managing the organisation through transparent, inclusive decision-making and prioritisation processes
- Ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
- Providing a high level service as a trusted partner to business stakeholders
What we’re looking for
- Recent graduate in Computer Science or STEM subject
- Ability to approach the role with the right attitude and aptitude
- Experience in solving problems and designing solutions
- Experience of working within a team
Skills that will help you in the role
