We are currently seeking an IT Service Desk Analyst to provide specialist technical support to staff and students of Bath Spa University as part of the IT Service Desk team.
About the Role
As our IT Service Desk Analyst, you will deliver exceptional service standards, ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently. Collaborating closely with team members, you'll contribute to documenting user requests and service issues, offering insightful recommendations for future service enhancements.
Your role will involve providing demonstrations of service components and supporting team members in meeting performance targets. Your proactive engagement within wider IT Services teams will ensure knowledge sharing, innovation, and the enhancement of service delivery.
Additionally, you'll be responsible for stakeholder engagement, actively joining digital networks for ongoing professional development. Managing unresolved issues on the Service Desk and performing routine maintenance tasks on hardware, software, and AV equipment will be part of your responsibilities. Your decisive problem-solving abilities, from identifying and resolving straightforward issues to escalating complex problems to the appropriate teams, will be crucial in maintaining our service excellence.
About You
- You will be an excellent problem-solver with strong analytical skills, adept at communicating technical information effectively to both specialists and non-specialists alike. Your proactive nature and enthusiasm for exploring technological advancements and user experiences will be highly valued.
- With a broad understanding of IT concepts and products, you'll collaborate seamlessly within our team while showcasing your excellent customer-facing skills.
- Your knowledge of current hardware/software trends and meticulous attention to detail will drive our service excellence.
- To carry out this role, you will need to be located largely onsite at our Newton Park campus, with occasional travel to other campuses nearby.
