    You’ll be part of the MotherandBaby.com and Yours.co.uk editorial team, who look after content strategy, social media, newsletters and commercial content for our brands. Our team identifies new content opportunities and optimises content for www.motherandbaby.com and www.yours.co.uk.

    We write and publish high-quality content which maximises search visibility and with quality control at the forefront: ensuring we put the user first, that SEO best practices are met and that brand ethos is alive and thriving. The team are constantly exploring content and commercial strategies to maximise engagement and revenues by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

    A part of the editorial team’s strategy is to source, research and review products that our audiences will be interested in buying. We look to support parents from all walks of life, supporting them with tips and advice before, during and after pregnancy.

    This includes helping parents to find the best products for our little ones and to help along this mammoth journey we call parenting. We want to create content for everyone, and this role will be an integral part for pushing new content to a diverse audience.

    Main focus of the role

    We are seeking a writer who will help us create content that will reach a wider, representative audience.

    This role will focus on the e-commerce side of our business for Motherandbaby.com, whilst keeping abreast of the latest culture and forthcoming projects, parenting tips and product suggestions. We hope to maximise the audiences our content reaches even further and to help build the affiliate side of our business.

    A crucial part of this role will be to support with creating new ideas, thinking with an inclusive mindset to help all our parents and share this content on our website and social media accounts. Focussing on the Motherandbaby.com brand, this role will report into the Digital Group Editor and working closely with the SEO team.

    You will help create and execute plans for affiliate led content on MotherandBaby.com, thinking about things like trending topics, top product suggestions and celebrity best buys.

    Key responsibilities

    • Help create and update existing content to grow the e-commerce activity across Motherandbaby.com to a high quality
    • Research and create content that is representative of our beautifully diverse communities
    • Research and source new affiliate opportunities
    • Work to agreed best practices that assist with creating optimal copy and SEO rules
    • Keep abreast of with latest culture and forthcoming projects, trends on social media, parenting tips and best product suggestions that may be relevant to Motherandbaby.com
    • Working with the Central Affiliate team at times to create content for bigger seasonal events
    • Continually optimising existing content to maximise traffic and affiliate click-through
    • Build strong relationships with wider inhouse and external teams

    Who you are?

    • Passionate about supporting our diverse communities and creating inclusive content that encapsulates the topics that immerse and surround all our parents.
    • Great planning and organisational skills.
    • Have a keen interest in content creation and the wider digital industry.
    • A good understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is preferred, but no necessary!
    • A good understanding of how the affiliate and editorial world work together, with an understanding of how to navigate websites like Amazon.
    • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • A good working understanding of social media, especially Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
    • Strong people skills and good internal communication skills.
    • Experience in working with a content management system (CMS).
    • Desirable – experience in using image editing software.
    • Desirable – a working knowledge of major analytics programs e.g., Google Analytics, Looker, CrowdTangle.
    • Willing to learn about and have some sort of knowledge about - affiliate marketing and online partnerships/trends.
