    As Content Optimisation executive you will optimising Bauer’s content output to maximise its propensity to perform editorially, commercially and in search. The Content Optimisation Executive is the final checkpoint prior to commercial content going live on our sites.

    Working closely with the SEO team and Content Commerce editorial, and brand editorial teams you will ensure editorial, commercial and production best practice. This role is key to the smooth running of editorial and SEO process, you will constantly be helping the improvement of content output with quality feedback and active support.

    The Content Optimisation Executive is a key role within the Content Commerce/Affiliate team and hugely important in supporting the generation and development of content. Reporting into the Content Optimisation Manager and working closely with the Editorial and SEO teams, you will be optimising content on many of Bauer’s brands, including; CAR, Heatworld, Closer, MCN, Today's Golfer, and What’s the Best, plus many others.

    Key responsibilities

    • Ensuring that content interlinking linking is correct for our most important articles including:
    • Checking and amending content layout to follow best practice
    • Plotting/mapping content within reporting systems and dashboards
    • Highlighting opportunities to link to wider editorial articles that can support our content goals
    • Implementing SEO best practice
    • Ensuring that the commercial linking is optimal
    • Auditing editorial output performance against content production goals

    What you'll bring

    • Proactive collaborative character capable of delivering clear feedback
    • Knowledge and working experience of a publishing CMS
    • A passion for digital media and affiliate marketing
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills – including content creation and optimisation
    • An understanding of SEO
    • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel
    • People skills and the bravery to communicate at all levels
    • Desirable – experience in using image editing software
    • Desirable – a working knowledge of major analytics programs e.g. Google Analytics
