    We are looking for a Master Data Management and Governance Analyst to join Bauer Media Group. As a Master Data Management and Governance Analyst you will be part of Global Technology Business Platforms team in BMG overseeing the Design, Build and Operations of Master Data Processes and Technology. A major related project and system will be the S/4 Central Finance system which is currently implemented throughout the Bauer landscape.

    This is a Hybrid role and can be connected to one of our UK office locations. The role will be working with colleagues all across Europe you will work closely with our Warsaw and Hamburg offices.

Bauer Technology is a highly matrix managed organisation, often having dual reporting lines to Group functions and business leadership structures within each territory.

    Role Responsibility

    • Supporting the delivery and operation of Bauer’s Master Data Management IT solutions. The activities will take place in the context of major IT and process transition projects. You will intensively work with large consulting companies and offshore staff.
    • Getting familiar with the MDM technology environment and set-up. Developing into a Master Data go-to person in Global Technology Master Data Management activities in Business and Technology.
    • Designing and implementing Bauer’s future processes, governance and tooling in the Master Data Management and Governance space.
    • Monitoring and proactively resolving issues in MDM and Governance operations. This involves close cooperation and interaction with functional teams across all Bauer entities as well as external service providers.
    • Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality and speed in Master Data operations. Document, understand and validate Business requirements and prepare technical implementation.
    • Working proactively with User community, IT and business stakeholders and developers to ensure accurate delivery of new or changed data-related applications in the SAP IT landscape, according to guidelines and best practices.
    • In this role we can also imagine a graduate or young professional willing to build skills and eager to position him/herself as a Master Data expert.

    The Ideal Candidate

    Required

    • High degree of initiative and a quick grasp of new ideas. Capable of managing priorities and multitasking. Able to work under ambiguity and uncertainty.
    • Eagerness to learn and apply new skills.
    • Experience in
      • Data Management operations or MDM
      • Process development and project activities
      • Working with SAP system – especially in a Master Data context
    • Dealing with colleagues and contractors at all levels of the company in a manner appropriate to the addressee
    • Solution-oriented mindset and thinking
    • Sustainable and quality-oriented approach
    • Languages: English (required), German (desirable), Polish (desirable)

    Desired

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, business information systems or other business related field, alternatively an apprenticeship or relevant professional experience.
    • Understanding of master data management concepts and approaches to data quality, tools, techniques and best practice
    • Experience working with professional master data management tools, MS Excel or other business data applications
    • Understanding of relevant business domain models
    • Experience with master data processing and non-SAP ERP systems
