Role Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Project & Reliability Engineer to work at our high performing site Liverpool, to ensure holistic process understanding and process design including upstream and downstream processes to the filling operation. The role will support (frontline) manufacture of intravenous fluid products using automated process to the defined standards of Quality, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and EH&S while continuously improving the process.

The role will work alongside subject matter experts of the key measures from the start of the assignment, closely linked to finalising the URS with the strategic partner and progress through the normal project life cycle model through to final handover to manufacturing at the end of Validation (PQ). This role will include creating a Reliability Centred Maintenance scheme for all project assets and support he creation of a RCM plan for all Liverpool assets and systems.

Monday - Friday, 9am until 5pm (with some flexibility)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage cost and time constraints (Supporting large scale projects)
• Perform risk assessments
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions
• Creation and governance of a Reliability Centred Maintenance plan for the full site
• Understand the end-to-end process from weighing and mixing of raw materials through to packing and release of final product. Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data
• Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
• Ensure that all new processes comply with EH&S, GMP and 6s methodology. Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
• Perform process simulations
• Ownership and Governance of the full CAPEX process, including budget management, documentation ownership and full life cycle asset care
• Support the creation of a full sustainable Asset Care program that leads directly into an Asset Care program, generating a best-in-class asset efficiency level
• Develop continuous improvement processes in Patient safety and Quality, Growth through innovation, Best place to work and Industry leading performance related to the technologies overseen.
• Learn how to monitor the OEE of the Process equipment to develop future optimisation plans
• Work alongside reliability SME’s and learn how to develop regular routine planned maintenance tasks for the production line equipment in line with the procedures and programmes in place. Have extensive knowledge of TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance). Be a key user of Maximo Maintenance System.
• Actively participate and lead (when necessary) the engineering brief and update visual management boards
• Learn and take full control of change control management as assigned
• Carry out training activities for team members on the production processes using various techniques to ensure competency

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Time served apprenticeship (Engineering / manufacturing)
• ONC / HNC / HND (ideally Engineering / manufacturing)
• Graduate program placement scheme desirable
• Good understanding and experience of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Understanding and experience in using statistics for analysis, trending etc
• Understanding and experience in using problem solving tools such as DMAIC, 5Why, Fishbone, A3 etc
• Understanding in the concept of Reliability Centred Maintenance and Asset Care
• Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and at all levels
• High energy and a hunger to grow within a manufacturing environment
