Job introduction
We are looking for an entry-level Assistant Media Scheduler (Digital) to join the Digital Media Team on a fixed-term contract until 31/12/2024 to support the delivery of personalised marketing campaigns for iPlayer & Sounds content. Reporting to a Digital Media Executive, the Assistant Media Scheduler is responsible for supporting the media planning of BBC promotional trailers on a given product in line with the marketing, editorial and scheduling timescales.
The Digital Media team drives audience value by maximising the impact of marketing campaigns through effective planning of media. As the BBC transitions to being a Digital First organisation, with greater emphasis on driving consumption of digital products, the Digital Media team is at the forefront of the BBC’s personalised to media and content discovery. This Assistant Digital Media Scheduler role is at the heart of delivering marketing campaigns to the right audience, in the right place, and at the right time by using a wide range of digital data to inform and deliver media planning strategies.
Main responsibilities
To help accelerate this digital transformation the Assistant Media Scheduler (Digital) role will be focussed on:
- Applying the principles of media planning, marketing, advertising, and using all available audience data to create audience focused media plans for supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns.
- Checking that media plans are editorially sound, including that they meet all the requirements of transmission and are fit for broadcast on digital channels such as BBC iPlayer, Sounds, News & Sport.
- Data analysis and reporting on live marketing campaigns including making recommendations to the Digital Media Executive for media optimisations and copy writing.
Are you the right candidate?
- This is an entry level role so a deep interest or demonstrable experience creating, analysing or planning content on digital marketing channels (e.g. Social Media, YouTube Pre-roll)
- Confident using data to able to analyse, interpret and present interesting digital marketing insights (e.g. impressions, click-rates, engagement rates, completion rates).
- Loves keeping up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and isn’t afraid to share them to the wider team.
- Keen eye for detail ensuring marketing assets meet specifications, file requirements and delivery deadlines needed to be used on BBC iPlayer & Sounds.
- Excellent stakeholder management experience, especially with marketing and creative teams.
