Role Description
Commercial Operations supports all of our client-facing teams in hitting their targets. Its core functions are to report on progress, identify trends/inefficiencies, and problem solve effectively. You’ll be working closely with the wider commercial teams, giving you a wealth of insight.
You’ll start out by using a combination of Google Sheets, our commercial data systems, and other tooling to collect, organise and interpret statistical information in order to help our teams make decisions. In time, there will also be opportunities to learn software/languages such as Tableau, SQL and Python.
It is an ideal opportunity for an intelligent, driven and analytical graduate who wants to build a career in a data-focused role, but is currently unsure of which path is best for them. Assuming a good fit, we’d love to find a permanent role for you with us, either in the Commercial Operations team or in one of our other data-focussed teams.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Working with our commercial teams to spot trends in their data & fix problems as they arise (E.g. helping identify buyer personas and predicting customer churn)
- Creating visualisations, presenting insights & reporting on our commercial performance
- Building & maintaining models to inform our commercial strategy/planning (E.g. how many demos do we need to book to guarantee hitting our sales target?)
- Working with Heads of Departments to implement & improve processes (E.g. working with our Client Experience team to set-up new onboarding processes)
- Ad-hoc support on a variety of exciting projects in the team and elsewhere in the company
There is no one size fits all for this role, but we presume you’ll have an interest in taking complex data sets and extracting commercially valuable insights.
- You’re intelligent, numerate and analytical
- You’ve likely studied a STEM subject, or can demonstrate experience of working with data
- You love working with spreadsheets and data sets – you’re probably already a whizz at Excel / Google Sheets
- You love solving problems and spotting potential areas for improvement
