Would you like to work with a friendly Finance team helping run a successful private hospital in the heart of the Kent countryside.
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our established Finance team of nine. This role will focus predominantly on the Accounts Payable, reporting into the Accounts payable supervisor, there is also an option to become involved and support the Accounts Receivable team.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure that purchase ledger invoices are processed accurately and that payments to suppliers are made on a timely basis. This is an excellent and flexible opportunity to suit candidates with different ideals within the working environment, as well as offering candidates the chance to study with us on an apprenticeship. The following working patterns are available.
- Full-time 37.5 hours a week supporting with Accounts Receivable one day
- Full-time 37.5 hours a week with one day release to study AAT
- Part time 30 hours a week focusing on Accounts Payable

About the role
- Support the Accounts Payable Supervisor to ensure that all supplier invoices are processed accurately and on a timely basis, whether generated through PO process or as standalone invoices.
- Deal with invoice queries in an effective and timely manner.
- Carry out any other ad hoc duties required within the finance department
Skills and experience required
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an accounts payable or bookkeeping role (Candidates with no previous experience, but a willingness to learn will be considered at a reduced salary)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrable ability for working with technical and numerical data.
- Experience of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong time management skills, accurate and well organised, with an attention to detail.
- Experience of working within the healthcare industry would be desirable but not essential.
