    About the People Team (HR):

    Within HR we deliver people–centric, best practices to enable success through people. We work in collaboration with key functions across the business to align our people strategy with our business aims. As an Industrial Placement at Bentley you will be working alongside and being mentored by HR experts on key topics, giving you real–life tangible experience to elevate your career journey in HR.

    There are two industrial placements available

    1) People Team Operations

    Our Operations Industrial Placement is based within the HR Advisory Team which is responsible for providing a professional HR service across the organisation to line managers, ensuring that People Policies and Procedures are implemented in line with the People Strategy and Business Objectives. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Research and interpret people related topics e.g. case law updates, best practice and industry data to feed positive changes into how the team add value to the organisation
    • Supporting the Senior HR Advisors in all employee lifecycle topics to develop a working knowledge of how this operates in practice. This will include shadowing, notetaking in employee relations cases and completing end to end processes with line managers
    • Creation of engaging manager communications to support on-going knowledge sharing with our people managers

    2) Colleague Experience

    Our Colleague Experience Industrial Placement offers practical experience on all aspects of the HR Function such as offers, on boarding, case management, leaver processes, compensation, employee benefits and much more. Alongside managing a specific business function, you will get an opportunity to help shape our continuous improvement across Colleague Services within HR. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Provide a customer orientated HR service and experience for Bentley’s global operation, including provision of HR information, decision making, advice and guidance to Managers and Colleagues
    • Act as the face of HR for all colleague interactions and requests for support
    • Lead on end to end colleague lifecycle transactions eg. new employee, job change, promotions and employee data change transactions

    About you

    The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in HR, Business, Law, Social Sciences or any degree discipline that includes specific HR Modules. It would be advantageous to have a customer service oriented attitude and experience of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
