    The undergraduate programme

    The Bentley Undergraduate Programme will drive your personal and professional development to new heights. Working closely with technical experts, a community of peers and other trainees, you will spend your year focusing on projects and tasks aligned to your home department’s objectives. At Bentley, we ensure everybody feels connected to our amazing products and services - and as an integral part of the team your input will be valued alongside every colleague.

    Additionally, you will spend time developing your behaviours and project management skills through collaborative work with our community of trainees. Undergraduates at Bentley work with apprentices, graduates and interns to deliver community and sustainability projects.

    The Communications team is at the heart of the business, responsible for all of Bentley’s internal and external media content. The Undergraduate will work as part of this team and will develop a thorough understanding of a busy press office. Important tasks include; handling day-to-day media enquiries, managing timely and accurate responses to journalists on all Bentley topics and supporting on media visits to the Bentley Factory. As well as researching, creating and writing press releases, press materials and briefing documents for both product and corporate PR projects.

    To apply for this Undergraduate Programme you must be on course to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 qualification in a relevant degree subject area, alongside a pass in Maths and English at GCSE Level.

    A successful candidate will:

    • Have a strong interest in and practical experience of writing, journalism and working in a media environment
    • Be confident in all Microsoft Office programs and interest to learn Bentley’s Intranet Content Management System
    • Be a team player, with a keen sense of their own responsibility to the team, the business and themselves
    • Be adaptable, quick-thinking and with an appetite for problem-solving
    • Be pro-active in pushing new ideas and solutions forward
    • Be excited to take ownership of and deliver projects
    • Embrace the challenge of influencing stakeholders, both internal and external
    • Be confident yet open-minded – willing to listen and learn from every Colleague
