    About the Role

    We have a brand-new opportunity for a Process Planning Manufacturing Intern to join the business on a 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract, with a mixture of working from home and at our Crewe Campus. Reporting to Adam Palmer, the intern will develop a solid foundation in the planning that underpins our delivery of new processes into Manufacturing. The individual will also be exposed to the breadth of our Manufacturing Strategy and the wider business, providing an opportunity to explore their potential field(s) of expertise.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the planning and delivery of new project strategy
    • Assist in managing projects related to production processes
    • Challenge processes as part of continuous improvement ethos
    • Generate studies related to statistical control, statistical ability and measurement systems analysis
    • Undertake risk assessments of production processes
    • Identify and develop enhancements in collaborative working methods

    About you

    We know that everyone and every role is important in our ongoing success. We are looking for someone who has a background in education in Manufacturing, Engineering or equivalent. If attending university, the applicant should be on target to achieve, or have achieved, a 2:1 or above.

    We understand that you may have limited work experience but you should have well-developed problem solving and analytical skills, possess good interpersonal skills, initiative and the enthusiasm to achieve. Quality in our business is top priority and we need individuals who can demonstrate a high focus on quality and a right first time attitude.

    Skills and experience required:

    • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
    • Experience of project strategy at any level
    • Proficient with mathematical statistical methods
    • Analytical/critical thinker
    • Proficiency in German language is preferential

    About the Team

    The Final Assembly and Powertrain Planning team are responsible for the right first time delivery of Manufacturing processes. This includes their conceptualisation in project phases, maturation in series and the management of end of life periods. We work cross functionally across the business to collaboratively design robust processes and equipment specifications that comply with APQP and work seamlessly with the production environment.
