    Metrology is the science of measurement, and it’s fundamental to the quality, performance and longevity of every Bentley that each component is made to consistently precise dimensions. Metrology measure every part of each model Bentley makes, from the smallest washer to body panels and interior trim. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Development of fundamental Metrology knowledge and techniques that will provide an excellent technical foundation.
    • Practical training and experience in multiple different types of advanced measurement equipment and state of the art specialist software.
    • Play an integral role in the product development phase, acting as a key member of the team responsible for the dimensional maturation of parts and systems prior in the prototype phase

    Quality Laboratory

    In Quality Laboratory you will be an integral part of the team ensuring the quality of materials and fluids are utilised within the manufacture of Bentley product. You will gain first-hand experience in corrosion mechanisms, thermal testing, mechanical testing, microanalysis, wear testing, microscopy, UV testing, adhesion testing, microstructures, hardness testing and more. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for carrying out pivotal processes within the Laboratory team e.g. Component/ material testing of a multitude of components and reporting of experiments
    • Work alongside Quality experts to support the development and seamless running of projects
    • Opportunity to experience working with large amounts of scientific equipment to aid the manufacture of the Bentley product

    About you

    The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in Materials Science or alternatively in Mathematics or Science with a strong interest in Metrology. It would be advantageous to have prior work experience within a project based role.
