St James & St William are looking for an individual with a strong proactive approach, good engagement and organisation skills to join our Health & Safety team and support developments for our large regeneration projects.
Working in a fast paced and ever changing environment, you will support the Head of Health & Safety to deliver the St James St William Health and safety strategy and assist the developments with local strategies and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible across selected St James & St William operations for day-to-day operational Health & Safety management as allocated by your Mentor.
- Under the guidance of the H&S team, you will maintain assurance of compliance with all internal H&S policies and operational controls within your area of responsibility.
- The range of responsibility will be ultimately assigned by the Head of Safety and administered via your mentor.
- Confident to challenge the supply chain in their Health & Safety choices.
Technical Competencies
- Psychology/Sociology related degree or training (Desirable)
- Any Health and Safety training. (Desirable)
- Knowing where to look and how to interpret detailed H&S law. (Desirable)
- Have knowledge of Health and Safety in relation to activities being undertaken within the business. (Desirable)
- Understand people interactions and the psychology of choice (Desirable)
- Good use of Microsoft Office 365 (Essential)

Please note our standard working hours are 8:00am until 5.00pm Monday to Friday, though we operate a flexible working policy so working hours can be adjusted to suit individual needs.
