    A technically minded Junior Software Developer to work on our content applications combining a love of sport and software development.

    The team operates as a full stack team. Core skills within the team are C#, Typescript and Golang, and we would like you to have solid experience in at least one of these technologies. The tech stack also covers SQL, .Net, MVC, Web API, Nodejs, HTML5 and CSS 3.

    As a Junior Developer joining the Sports Content and Messaging team you will be part of a supportive and driven team of highly skilled developers focusing on a specific area of sport, where you will specialise and become an expert in your field.

    This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

    Preferred skills and experience

    • Graduate or commercial experience in .NET web development such as C#, ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Web API.
    • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, native JavaScript and jQuery.
    • Familiarity with SQL Server (2012 or later), as well as IIS configuration and management.
    • Proactive and willing to contribute ideas and passionate about software development and technology.
    • Degree educated in IT related degree with a minimum final grade of 2.1.
    • Strong problem solving abilities with a high attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of SASS and TypeScript.
    • Understanding of responsive user interfaces.
    • Familiarity with the Jira issue tracking system.
    • Experience using the Git version control system.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Expanding your knowledge in C# and .Net applications and services.
    • Working with technologies such as C#, .Net and MS SQL.
    • Developing, maintaining and enhancing the trading applications, with the guidance and support of your team.
    • Learning to use a number of relevant additional development tools and skills to improve the development process.
    • Investigating issues and drive performance improvements.
    • Developing your skills with Git version management and Jira issue management.
