Our Energy and Renewables teams across the UK are experts in the sector and highly influential in the race towards Net Zero. Due to growth, we're expanding our team and looking for an Energy and Renewables Graduate to join us.
For over 25 years we have been providing landowners and developers with property advice to develop renewable energy schemes. In this newly created land consultant focused graduate opportunity, we're looking for a forward- thinking, energetic and passionate individual to help us develop the schemes of the future.
Your time will be spent working in the Oxford office, out on site and sometimes working from home.
What you’ll do
- Support our clients to achieve their renewable energy goals (E.g. Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Schemes, Onshore Wind, Green Hydrogen, Offshore Wind Connections and Grid & Infrastructure projects)
- GIS, constraint mapping and related tasks
- Land referencing and site finding
- Landowner engagement, including site visits
- Negotiate land rights for commercial development projects (for Developers and Landowners)
- Draft strategic and client reports
- Assist with project management
- Assist with business development
- Conduct research for a range of Energy and Renewables projects
- Conduct site visits and assessments
What you’ll achieve
You'll get the chance to grow with us, in-fact we really want you to progress and will do all we can to help. You’ll be enrolled on our 2-year graduate development programme, which will focus on commercial and financial acumen, presentation and writing skills and effective communication. This will develop you beyond your current technical expertise, building a strong foundation for your career in energy & renewables property consultancy.
Part One: A programme which will see you get involved in a range of skill development activities and networking opportunities, not just with other graduates, but with key senior stakeholders.
Part Two: The potential to further your study and focus on specific energy & renewable qualifications.
About you
- A relevant degree, 2:1 or above (ideally a degree related to Energy & Renewables such as Geography)
- You will need a Full UK Driver’s License & car
- Some prior experience with GIS software
- Passionate about Energy & Renewables
- Competent and professional communication skills
- Literate and numerate
- Self motivated
- Creative, innovative and strategic mindset
