    Help us make a difference as a Graduate Trainee Operations Manager covering our 8 Depot locations across the London Region. Successful candidate will be expected to travel within the role.

    What is the Biffa Graduate Scheme?

    The Biffa Graduate Scheme works alongside your new role to provide extra support and development to stretch and build you during the first few months of your Biffa career. Our Graduate Scheme includes personal development sessions, ongoing feedback and site visits across the business to help you understand the core of our industry in greater depth. You will work through the Scheme with other Graduates new to the business so you have a great community of people to build valuable contacts with.

    A quick look at the role

    The Graduate Trainee Operations Manager will support, under the guidance of Regional General Manager, the region to drive through continuous improvement in performance, by engaging with relevant stakeholders to support regional projects that ensure the delivery of first class customer service in line with pre-defined business KPIs, that support continuous improvement in productivity and quality of service provision, to maintain business growth and best in class performance.

    • Providing additional resource to support Depots.
    • Working under the guidance of Operational Support Manager (OSM) to manage projects and work with key stakeholders as defined by the parameters of the project.
    • Supporting, under the guidance of OSM, management capability through knowledge sharing, training and support.
    • Working within cross-divisional teams to assist with providing integrated waste solutions using best practice and through continuous improvement.
    • Supporting, under the guidance of OSM, improvement of the operational systems, processes and policies to support regional growth and performance.

    How long is the Graduate Scheme for?

    The Biffa Graduate Scheme is a 12month long scheme, after 12months you will continue working in your full time position. Please note: travel will be required as part of your Programme.

    Am I guaranteed a job at the end of the Scheme?

    Yes, after the 12months you will fall into your permanent full time role. You will stay within the area you initially entered, unless agreed with your Line Manager.
