    Job Description

    As a Software Engineer in the Institutional Client Solutions team you will develop innovative technologies that are changing the way our ICS business gain insights and market to clients. You will work closely with a team of technologists to design, build, deploy, test, and support functionality across a variety of stacks and platforms. You'll drive business value while also producing great code for our business stakeholders.

    You will help to support the current systems relying on Salesforce, Tableau and .NET Core as well as help drive the platform forward by building highly scalable solutions for new business processes. Key technologies in this framework include: AWS, .NET Core in C#, Python, React, Snowflake and Tableau.

    You’ll tackle a variety of problems from promoting business efficiency through enhancing information capturing processes to data visualization to improve fund marketing. You’ll devise elegant solutions to Blackstone's most important problems and put your own best ideas to work in an entrepreneurial environment inside one of the world's most successful companies.

    Responsibilities

    • Build, maintain and integrate web applications and micro-services, on a variety of platforms
    • Collaborate with various internal business partners to identify and execute on areas for improvement
    • Use Agile software development methodologies and tools like Jira to manage and deliver on projects
    • Follow scalable architectural practices to build fault tolerant distributed systems
    • Develop software defined infrastructure
    • Design data models and persist data to Snowflake
    • Automate deployments in coordination with Platform and DevOps engineers
    • Identify opportunities to automate away repetitive tasks
    • Promote, implement, and evolve development best practices
    • Troubleshoot and prioritize business and technology initiatives

    Qualifications

    • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
    • Have a strong understanding of highly scalable microservice architectures.
    • Technical software development and system architecture experience as an individual contributor
    • A self-starting, entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
    • Expertise in one or more of Salesforce, OpenAPI, Docker, AWS, .NET Core in C#, Python, Snowflake and Tableau
    • Strong object-oriented programming experience in any language
    • Have prior experience delivering modernized technology to business users
    • Experience with Agile
    • An ability to drive your projects from inception to completion
    • Possesses a desire to teach, coach, and mentor others while also making significant individual contributions
    • Ensures that the team produces high quality code, facilitates communication and feedback
