Due to the current and future workload requirements within BMT, we are looking for Graduates to join our Naval Architecture team. As a graduate, you can expect to receive training from our experienced employees, and we will support you on your journey to achieve Chartered status.
What is the Graduate Programme?
As a BMT graduate, you will be part of an exciting 2-year development programme that will equip you with the knowledge, skills and experience that you will need to propel your career to the next level. You will be paired with a mentor who will support your development within BMT and you will receive a tailored training programme.
BMT partner and have close relationships with many of the professional institutions so if Chartership is a route that you are interested in, we will support you by paying the membership fees for your chosen institution and you will receive a chartership mentor who will help support you with your application.
Who we are looking for
- A relevant degree such as Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- An interest to work within this specialist domain.
- Dedication in the provision of a first-class service to our clients and the determination to further their career and gain Chartered engineer status.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent communication and team building skills.
About You
We are looking for pro-active, keen, and committed graduate Naval Architects to join our talented and dynamic team who work across a range of technical projects, helping solve our customers’ problems and delivering them innovative, bespoke solutions.
Working alongside our clients, we develop designs for both new build and existing vessels (Ships and Submarines) as well as helping them to manage their in-service support requirements, working with new and emergent technologies to provide solutions that are fit for today and into the future.
We are seeking individuals who can work as part of a team in a hybrid style, providing valued individual contribution.
