The purpose of the role is to provide HSEQ & Governance support to the Regional HSEQ Manager - UK & Europe, and other team members within Operations.
What you'll do
This role is primarily responsible for:
- Record and report on HSEQ Events (NCR, observations, incidents, etc.) in accordance with procedures and monitor implementation of agreed control measures.
- Administer monthly and quarterly reporting within region.
- Undertake incident investigations as required.
- Develop, review and advise on HSE risk assessments as required.
- Prepare, manage and conduct (where applicable) schedule of evaluation / inspection activities to monitor compliance.
- Maintain awareness of changing Acts, Regulations, Rules and Codes of Practice governing BMT’s business and industry performance.
- Conducting internal audits against ISO, local IMS processes and relevant legislation.
- Supporting external audits where required.
In terms of location, our offices are in Teddington, London, Bath and Bristol and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
About you
You will have Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and regulations and an IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
Previous Internal auditing experience will be required.
You will show initiative and proactivity to drive business and system improvement, with outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
It would be great if you have a NEBOSH National General Certificate qualification or Internal auditing qualification. However full training will be offered.
