    The CEO office is responsible for the development of strategy for Alphabet UK, together with the implementation management of this strategy. In this varied and interesting student placement, you’ll be responsible for the annual cycle, including the strategic development, mapping and documentation of the chosen strategy, internal communication and engagement of the strategy and additionally the monitoring and progress reporting of all the strategic initiatives.  Furthermore, you’ll also play an integral part in the oversight and administration of the Corporate Governance operating rhythm for Alphabet UK.  As a highly motivated, confident, self-starter with strong analytical skills, you’ll also excel in delivering creative and effective communication, employee engagement and change management within the organisation.

    What will you be doing?

    Strategy Development

    • Support the Business Manager and Alphabet Management Committee in steering the business strategy development process including the tracking and reporting of strategic initiatives and change management and engagement activities.
    • Regular review of the strategic approach to ensure the key performance indicators are being achieved in relation to the Alphabet Balanced Scorecard.

    Internal and Corporate Governance within Alphabet UK

    • Supporting with Alphabet Management Committee duties, including preparation, and steering and monitoring of the regular agenda topics.
    • Support and facilitate the review of governance structures, TOR (Terms of Reference), process and documentation.
    • Provide appropriate communication to the organisation on corporate governance topics to ensure awareness, including ownership of the relevant Intranet pages.

    Engagement, Communication and Change Management

    • Support with 'All Associate' meetings and events.
    • Define and develop communications, ensuring we are fully leveraging all appropriate channels, including actively exploiting digital media assets.
    • Influence, drive and support all activities which promote positive employee engagement and diversity & inclusion within our work place.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Studying for an undergraduate degree in Business Management or similar and in line to achieve a 2:2 or above
    • Basic customer services (ie experience in retail/call centre)
    • Microsoft Office (incl Powerpoint) advantageous
    • Quick to pick up IT applications (online tools, project management tools, survey monkey etc)
    • Good written communication skills
