Electrical Engineering
We are looking for
- Driven intern to join our Bespoke Electrical Engineering Team
- High level of enthusiasm, creativity and Innovation
- Hobbyist, ideally developing home projects with Electronics and software (Arduino/Pi)
- Software skills in Python/C/HTML
- Self-driven, willing to learn
What will you be doing?
- Prototyping of electronic features
- Hardware – harness building, soldering, adding interface PCBs as necessary
- Software – Using Arduino/Raspberry Pi or Car PC to control new digital features
- Ideally have some software knowledge in Python/C/HTML
- Build upon the software used to control our prototype Innovations vehicles
- PCB design using Proteus
- PCB board development using our inhouse tools
- Opportunity for CAD use developing enclosures for PCBs
- Freedom to create experimental electronics with other Engineers, (Blue-sky thinking)
- Learn about CAN and LINbus for Automotive
- Use Automotive tools such as Vector, Picoscope and EMC test equipment
- Supporting the Innovations Lead Engineer, but given autonomy and freedom to investigate new technologies that could be applicable to the Bespoke Department
- Gaining invaluable experience within a unique luxury automotive sector.
- Working on future innovative product development within a small expert group.
Qualification
- Studying towards a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronic/Computing or relevant field.
- Having software skills would be advantageous, but not essential
- Experience in New Product Development environment would be advantageous but not essential
