    Change, Engagement & Internal Communications

    The Change, Engagement & Internal Communication Intern role reports to the Change & Innovation Manager and the Internal Communications Manager within a newly formed team called Customer Strategy, Change & Innovation. This team supports the other functions as required in their strategy formulation and leads the development and tracking of our overall corporate strategy. Responsible for internal communications, change & Innovation, the team ensure everyone across our business fully understands our strategy, how we are performing as a business, and drives active engagement and cultural development.

    As the Change, Engagement & Internal Communication Intern, you’ll be in an interesting position where you’ll interact with all functions at all levels across the organisation including Management Committee level. The role is varied enabling you to explore all aspects of the company including working with and aligning with our National Sales Company, Head Quarters in Munich, BMW Financial Services in Ireland, and UK Plants. You will be responsible for the creation and alignment of daily and weekly communications for all BMW Group Financial Services entities in the UK and Ireland. Working with various stakeholders from around the business to support the Change & Innovation Manager and the Internal Communications Manager transform our business working practices and engage our people with our strategic direction.

    What will you be doing?

    This internship will support the Change & Innovation and Internal Communications Managers. The role holder will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • Support with 'All Employee' meetings and events.
    • Define and develop communications, ensuring we are fully leveraging all appropriate channels, including actively exploiting digital media assets.
    • Influence, drive and support all activities which promote positive employee engagement and diversity & inclusion within our workplace.
    • Using an employee voice tool to identify trends and actions with the support of the business to support the implementation of positive change.
    • Support the Change & Innovation Manager in the creation and facilitation of Strategy workshops and training.

    Qualifications

    This internship would suit someone who has a passion for communicating with impact, who is able to confidently work with stakeholders from all levels of our business (Including C-Suite), who is able to create PowerPoint presentations and present with impact, who is able to take data and turn it into meaningful actions and who is keen to get an overall insight of the whole business.

    The applicant should be studying towards a Communications or business-related degree but this is not a pre-requisite (on target for a 2:2 or above). Please note that our intern opportunities are only open to students who will be returning to their studies following their placement with us.

    Training on bespoke internal systems will be provided.
