Plant Oxford is the birthplace and heart of MINI production. Manufactured to individual customer specifications, hundreds of MINIs leave the plant’s assembly lines each day, off to meet new owners in more than 110 countries around the world. Three UK plants have a part to play in MINI production – Plant Hams Hall makes engines, Plant Swindon produces body pressings and sub-assemblies for MINI, and all this comes together at Plant Oxford with body shell production, paint and final assembly.
HR Services Placement
HR Services is made up of HR Admin, Payroll and Global Assignments. We are the first point of contact for any employee queries relating to pay and benefits. As a team were are responsible for ensuring all UK associates of the BMW Group are paid correctly and on time. We administer associates from start to finish, from new starters, job changes, family leaves of absences to associates leaving the business.
What will you be doing?
Working as an Intern in HR Services you will be responsible for processing sicknotes, pension changes, creating and distributing contracts and letters and inputting employee information into our systems. You will also be responsible for annual benefit tasks such as selecting and ordering the Christmas gift and the benefit reselection period. You will help to answer employee queries and will assist in the preparation of any associates who are travelling abroad for business purposes. You will also help to facilitate team meetings; team building activities and help prepare any presentations that are required. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in internal projects and will become an important part of the team.
You will receive a training plan which will help bring you up to speed and give you all the necessary knowledge that you will need to succeed in the role. We will also assign you a buddy for the duration of your internship who will be able to assist you at any point.
Qualifications
- Currently studying a degree in HR, Business Management, International Business or similar
- Understanding of Microsoft Office
- Strong Communication Skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Time Management & Organisation Skills
- Customer Service Experience Beneficial
- Able to use own initiative
