    This is a new opportunity for a high-calibre graduate looking to take the next step his/her career in Manufacturing Engineering. BMW uses the latest technology to manufacture engines, and to maintain our high standards takes a lot of forward-thinking. Working with internal teams as well as external vendors, developing, implementing and maintaining advanced manufacturing systems, whilst integrating new products and continuously improving performance.

    You will have had a studied at a degree level in Manufacturing Engineering or a similar Engineering field, with an understanding basic Manufacturing Technologies to enhance and sustain production activities in the manufacturing operations environment.

    During the 2yr Graduate Scheme you will have placements around the Machining & Assembly Department in the Operations, Tooling and Maintenance Teams. You will be introduced to all elements of Manufacturing in a global Premium Mobility Provider.

    At the end of the scheme the Candidate will be in a position to

    Support the Operations Teams by continuously ensuring the optimisation of processes and technologies in the existing production systems,
    Support the implementation of new processes and products;

    • Support enhancements to productivity through the introduction of robust and streamlining measures.
    • Introduce new technologies into the business, whilst developing all existing technologies.
    • Ensure the structured management of all Lean activities.
    • Provide process improvements and ensure operational requirements of the product or process are met.
    • Ensure the consistency of quality in the throughput time and delivery conditions of all production materials.

    Qualification

The candidate will have vision and collaborative skills to play a decisive role in the future manufacturing systems of BMW.

    • Qualified to master’s Level but will consider Graduate Degree (BSc), in a Engineering based subject.
    • Industrial experience with similar manufacturing environment considered advantageous.
