    The role

    We have an opportunity for a trainee to join our Market & Financing Services (MFS) Department. MFS provide a range of solutions to support our clients including securities lending (both agency lending and principal lending), foreign exchange (FX) - including voice instructions, automated transactions or passive currency overlay, triparty collateral management and a variety of financing solutions.

    This is a great opportunity to work with busy trading teams and learn about a wide variety of products and services, including both securities lending programs, foreign exchange, financing, collateral management and also corporate actions. The trainee will experience a dynamic and stimulating trading environment yet one with small teams able to coach, nurture and develop talent. They will have exposure to a broad range of global clients and counterparts from different countries, cultures and backgrounds. The trainee will learn system skills ranging from industry standard platforms to more flexible bank owned systems.

    Main duties will include

    • Training across respective trading desks: Principal Lending, FX execution and Agency Lending
    • Assisting with returns and recall processes for both Principal and Agency Lending
    • Checking risk lines for trading teams
    • Produce statistics on Principal Lending and Agency Lending
    • Preparation of client reporting, including FX close of business reporting
    • Assist with new client on boarding and existing client’s KYC (know your customer) documentation
    • Assisting with corporate action events and fiscal documentation
    • Preparing financing documentation
    • Training with the Corporate Action team: processing USA income returns
    • Enhancing control procedures

    Candidate Profile

    As a trainee within MFS you should have strong accuracy and numerical skills. You will be inquisitive and enjoy interpreting information and problem solving. You will have good MS office skills, communication skills, attention to detail and a highly organised approach. Multi-tasking and self-motivation is key as well as the ability to work well in a team.

    The successful applicant will be a quick learner who genuinely wants to make the most of their time in a leading Financial Services Company and have a resourceful and ‘can do’ attitude.

    Recruitment Process
