The role
Boeing Strategy and Corporate Development is looking for a Strategy Analyst Intern to join the Global Accelerators & Innovation Programs Strategy team (GAIP). The GAIP team runs Boeing’s startup accelerator, Aerospace Xelerated and delivers other innovation programs globally. Aerospace Xelerated is a funded, 3-month accelerator for early stage software startups that can move the aerospace industry forward.
A preferred candidate will have had experience working to drive value and outcomes through creative solutions in ambiguous environments. Technical competencies an ability to quickly understand aerospace and technology-related innovations, end use cases, as well as supporting founders and stakeholders in the ecosystem.
In this position, the candidate would:
- Support the Accelerator Program delivery team to carry out its mission effectively, accountably and in line with Boeing strategic priorities
- Lead on local stakeholder management and engagement, establishing key local partnerships
- Organize events globally to raise awareness of the program
- Build relationships across the founders ecosystem to identify the startups we can best support
- Work with the team to design the program to best support the cohort, teams and founders
- Working with each company to identify areas they need most help with, advising them and introducing them to the right mentors, investors, Boeing champions
- Support current and future portfolio companies with regional opportunities, introductions, and serve as the conduit for a regional portfolio development liaison
- With the capability leadership and other key stakeholders, regularly review the Accelerator & Innovation Programs strategy, targets and risks.
- Report to the capability leadership and governance board on Accelerator & Innovation Programs delivery, development, best practice and financial management.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)
- Comfortable with an international and fast-paced work environment
- Excellent communication and story-telling skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A strong team player who has the initiative and ability to embrace leadership roles when opportunities arise
- Ability to develop and enhance partnerships and external relationships.
- Ability to think strategically and foster collaboration between startups and corporates.
- Experience within the aerospace or tech sector.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in working with suppliers, startups or early-stage innovators
- A network of aerospace or tech professionals and/or organizations.
- Experience of working with investors, including angles and VCs. Corporate investors would be a bonus.
- Fluent in Arabic is a plus
