The Role
Our products support the maintenance, modification and repair of the Boeing commercial fleet and the users of our products require concise, visually accurate technical illustrations.
We are looking for Technical Illustrators with the ability to conceptualize and create both general and detailed illustration views that support a wide variety of our technical data products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis of engineering data, design changes and other data sources to create Illustrations to a high quality standard.
- Create isometric, orthographic and perspective illustrations, wiring diagrams, and schematics for technical data products.
- Ensure product compliance with organizational standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with other Illustrators and authoring teams to ensure the end product is what is required.
- Ability to use illustration software such as the following software;
- Isodraw
- Adobe Illustrator
- Autocad
- Photoshop
- Training and mentoring will be provided as part of our culture of continuous professional development
Work Authorisation
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work on multiple projects with varying level of requirements efficiently and effectively.
- Solid IT and communications skills
- Ideally have some knowledge and work experience of aircraft maintenance and repair.
- You’ll hold a Bachelor’s Degree within Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
