The role
Boeing are looking to hire a trainee Data Engineer/Database Administrator to join their Data Analytics and Information Exploitation (DAIX) team. This work is in support of our P8 programme where we are building a cloud hosted BDUK Mission Accelerator data analytics platform. This will enable Boeing Enterprise analytics capability to be deployed in the UK.
The role will be working alongside and supported by an experienced senior DBA to design, implement and support the database and conduct data migrations and transformation.
With a natural interest in data, the candidate will be keen to be involved with complex data structures such as STAR dimensional modelling and data modelling activities in SPARX. All training will be provided by a combination of on the job training and self-directed training courses.

Be able to display good verbal and written communication
Willingness to learn
The candidate could come from any discipline and would need to demonstrate attention to detail, first time quality and be comfortable working in an agile team in a complex and fast changing environment.
As the role will be part of a small team, the candidate must be willing to immerse themselves in a range of technical disciplines and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
