Position overview
Boeing Defence United Kingdom (BDUK) is looking for a Project Support Intern to join the SCIS (Support Chain Information Services) Programme Management team. BDUK is a rapidly growing part of the Boeing Company operating across the UK to deliver a number of key programmes of work within the Aerospace and Defence sector. The Programme Management function operates as a key business partner to all areas of the business supporting operations through the provision of timely and accurate supply of goods & services and advice to enable effective decision making. This role would sit within a small team of PMO Analysts supporting the SCIS Programme.
Position Responsibilities
Carry out secretariat duties to various Programme and Project level meetings. Including impact assessments and project gate reviews.
- Carry out administrational duties using excel and internal SharePoint to ensure change request management is maintained to a high standard.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of the Programme management office templates and process documentation.
- Carry out general RIO (Risk, issues, opportunities) management duties using the internal RIO management system.
- Assist with the creation of various reports providing key data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the maintenance and development of Information Management to SCIS Programme functions. Providing hands-on Coaching/Training/Support.
- Provide assistance to monitor Contract Data Requirements Lists within various functions and teams ensuring contractual obligations are met and quality standards maintained.
- Provides assistance to the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project and team, finance, planning, scheduling and line management.
- Uses trend, earned value and variance analyses and risk assessments to assist in continuous improvement development plans or to recommend change.
- Use Boeing Programme Management Best Practices (PMBP) to assist in aligning PMBP to the SCIS Programme methodology and contractual obligations.

Relocation
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
