As an Aviation Maintenance Intern, you will gain relevant experience into various different aspects of the maintenance operation, working closely with both management and engineers to help ensure the day-to-day operations runs effectively as possible.
In your role, you will
- Research and provide Maintenance data for the Projects work scope.
- Conduct daily audits of the work package, checking all SVOs can be accounted for.
- Act as the parts runner for the team, liaising with the materials department, collecting spares, organising the bay parts cage and RTSing parts.
- Act as the tool runner between the bay and stores, specialist tooling for a job can be ordered by the technician and collected by the DCTA.
- Assist certifying engineers with raising defects in an administrative sense.
- Entering details into SAP when required.
- Printing raised defects. QA0001A and QA009A into sleeves and providing them to the lead technician.
- Ensuring all removed items have QA017 parts ident tags and the certifier has.
- inspected them.
- Filling out MRA for items going to stores.
- Printing off Gemba information in preparation for the Gemba meetings.
- Ensuring the Gemba board has the required forms on it.
- Ensuring the bay plan is part of the Gemba Board.
- Liaising with the tech records staff providing them with completed cards.
- Liaising with the tech records staff if the C certifier requires back any completed cards.
- Carrying out internal and external videos of the aircraft at the beginning of inputs.
- Assisting where needed with applying aircraft protection at the beginning of inputs.
- Collecting the aircraft tech log and HIL at the begging of inputs.
- Be responsible for ensuring a tidy work environment around desks and workpack area.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate
- You will ideally have some previous experience within the Aviation part 145 environment.
- He/she acts responsible for the tasks set by the Aircraft Check lead, but ultimately the instruction of the Manager, Operations.
- You are working towards a UK or EASA PART 66 Lead Aircraft Maintenance.
- License or a similar qualification relating to Aviation.
- You will be self-reliant, highly motivated, and to able to communicate effectively as well as self-disciplined with good administration and housekeeping skills.
- You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
- A strong work ethic, reliable, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and very customer service oriented.
- Required to work shift work, as necessary.
- DCTA need to be very familiar with approved maintenance data and competent at the interpretation of approved data.
- DCTA must be familiar with the aircraft and its systems.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
