    Job description

    Join us for your placement year in summer 2024! Our internships are designed to give you an insight into what it's like to work for a world-renowned brand with a culture of support and community.

    This opportunity is to support with heat pump projects within our Engineering Services department. The role would be suitable for those studying a degree in engineering or similar.

    Engineering Services is a multi-faceted department covering customer-facing technical support services, heating system design, product technical liaison and system optimisation.

    The Engineering Services Heat Pump Support Intern will be a key supporter on our Heat Pump projects within the department. Some of your key tasks include, but are not limited to:

    • Gather information relating to Heat Pump project specification
    • Administration of project files for specification & heating designs using MS Access
    • Liaising with design project engineers in the planning of projects
    • Progress projects with sales managers, architects, developers, installers & homeowners
    • Provide general support to Engineering Services as required

    There may also be the opportunity for a few weeks of the placement to support our Contact Centre, answering inbound phone calls. This will allow you to develop and enhance your communication skills for the future, focusing and interacting directly with the Bosch Customer base.

    Expected start date on July 2024. Working hours are 39 hours a week; Monday – Thursday 08.00 - 17.00 and Fridays 08.00 - 16.00 with a 1-hour unpaid lunchbreak.

    Qualifications

    Please note that to be eligible for this role, you must be an undergraduate student seeking a placement year as part of your degree - if you do not meet this criteria please consider applying for other positions.

    • Be computer literate in industry-standard packages for office use.
    • Have good organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
    • Have the capability to communicate well in a team and work using own initiative.
    • Have a high attention to detail.
    • Be able to communicate confidently with people at all levels.
    • Be willing to learn new software and skills.
