    Job description

    Based in Worcester, you will have the chance to work for a market leading company, enriching your engineering knowledge and experience.

    During your 12-month Internship, you will be working on a range of Quality Data driven topics, to support the business in achieving and reporting on the departmental KPI’s. You will become an integral part of the Product Quality team; responsibilities will include work in the following areas:

    • Field data handling (maintaining a SQL database and existing processes, developing workflows to automate business processes).
    • Supporting different parts of the business with data analyses requests.
    • Documentation of workflows and how they operate.

    To commence the role, you will have an initial handover period or introduction phase with the departing intern/department engineers, to become familiar with the current project and operational status.

    Expected start date on June 2024. Working hours are 39 hours a week; Monday – Thursday 08.00 - 17.00 and Fridays 08.00 - 16.00 with a 1-hour unpaid lunchbreak.

    Qualifications

    Please note that to be eligible for this role, you must be an undergraduate student seeking a placement year as part of your degree - if you do not meet these criteria please consider applying for other positions.

    Our ideal candidate should

    • Be an undergraduate student (preferably studying an Engineering, Information Technology, or combined Business Studies degree) with a desire to complete a 12-month work placement as part of degree studies.
    • Have good time management, organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
    • Have the ability to adapt quickly to changing working environments and is ready to embrace new ways of working through digitalisation.
    • Have the capability to work well in a team as well as independently, using own initiative.
    • Be able to communicate confidently with people at all levels, both written and verbal (including on the telephone) and with associates at international locations.
    • Be IT literate and confident in using MS Office packages as well as learning Company systems and programming languages.

    Desirable

    • Knowledge of data gathering and analysis techniques.
    • Excel experience and first-hand experience with workflow tools (e.g., KNIME).
