    Here at Boston Scientific, we now have an opportunity for a Communications Graduate to join our Galway team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will provide the successful candidate with more than the opportunity to hone and build key communications competencies, but also the chance to improve lives.

    You will join an experienced Communications team integral to the continued development and success of our Galway campus. You will develop a core skill set to take your Communications career to the next level by providing support across a range of specialisms including content creation, social & digital campaigns, media relations, internal events & communications projects.

    With hybrid working arrangements enabling you to work 2 days per week from home, condensed working hours allowing for a lunchtime finish on Fridays, a subsidised canteen and all the amenities that beautiful Galway has to offer, this role offers flexibility & fun to the successful candidate.

    Key Activities of the Role

    • Write a variety of content to support internal and external communications projects, including presentations, website copy, social media posts and press releases
    • Contribute to development and implementation of communications strategy designed to further Boston’s Scientific’s objectives
    • Stay up to date on industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices
    • Perform basic communications channel analysis and compare results to relevant performance metrics, monitor analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of communications campaigns and strategies
    • Coordinate volunteers, support staff, vendors and more to support promotional events
    • Support meeting management, travel arrangements, calendar management, supply maintenance and mail distribution processes.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Hons Degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing preferred, but role open to all graduates with strong writing skills, a high level of creativity & the ability to think analytically
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Confidence to build internal and external networks.
    • Strong social media knowledge & skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong organisational skills
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Work well under pressure with a strong sense of urgency
