    Our Graduate Rotational Programme is designed to accelerate your professional development and provide you with cross-functional experiences within Boston Scientific Clonmel. Throughout the 2-year programme you will move through three 8-month rotations of your choice within Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Process Development to prepare you with the experience and expertise needed to succeed in your role.

    You will be provided with dedicated mentors and will have professional development 1:1 meetings to provide you with a solid foundation for a successful career.     Boston Scientific has exciting opportunities for Graduate Engineers across three Irish sites: Galway, Cork and Clonmel.

    Responsibilities

    Here is some more about the functions that you can choose from as part of the Rotational Programme.

    Manufacturing

    Lead a production team of direct labour employees in safely producing high quality medical devices and equipment on time for the customer at the lowest cost.

    In this role, you will lead, coach and mentor production and support team personnel on lean manufacturing and production best practices to create a culture of engagement and continuous improvement while meeting safety, quality, service and cost goals.

    Daily execution and line performance as well as project leadership and change management are vital for this position. If you have a passion for leading and developing teams and obtaining visible results, this could be a great role for you!

    Engineering

    The Engineering Graduate will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering support manufacture of medical device products (invasive and non-invasive).

    Quality

    The Quality Engineer Graduate will provide support to the Quality, Engineering and Production teams. They will be responsible for ensuring delivery of highest quality product to the customer.

    Job responsibilities include Process ownership, CAPA’s, Validations, Problem solving and process improvements, Risk identification and prevention. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and someone who works well as part of a team.

    Process Development/ R&D

    The Graduate will support the development of next generation product design OR process development which will ultimately transform patient lives. The individual will be part of the R&D or PD teams. The individual will be involved in various design ideation, generation and prototyping.

    Requirements/Experience

    • Level 8 degree in relevant discipline essential.
    • Must have graduated within the last two years or be due to graduate by 2023.
    • Relevant work experience/ co-op programme completed.
    • Strong system skills and aptitude.
    • Good communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative.
    • Proven ability to work well as part of a team & on own with minimum supervision.
    • Enthusiastic self-starter.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Eligible to work in Ireland.
