    Your role at BRE

    We are currently seeking a dynamic and organised individual to join our team as a BREEAM Technical Support Consultant. Some of the essential duties in this role will include:

    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the underlying principles and a detailed knowledge of all relevant BREEAM schemes in order to be able to provide highly technical support to assessors, project teams, other stakeholders and colleagues, in a timely and professional manner.
    • Maintain and develop guidance and processes for supporting BREEAM assessors, including contributing to the BREEAM Knowledge Base.
    • Assist the Technical Support Manager in training and monitoring the quality of our service and mentoring of new and existing staff.
    • Undertake other activities as necessary to support BREEAM business area managers and the on-going maintenance and development of relevant BREEAM schemes.
    • Performing the role in accordance with defined operational procedures to ensure on-going compliance with the UKAS accredited Quality Management System and governance structure, as well as taking steps to address customer feedback and implement operational improvement actions.

    Your profile

    Some skills that will be necessary for this position include:

    • Educated to a degree level in a relevant subject (or equivalent experience).
    • An awareness of the BREEAM product/brand, its customers/users and their expectations and the wider construction industry.
    • A familiarity with Environmental assessment methods: BREEAM or similar environmental assessment/certification methodologies.
    • Knowledge and awareness of the construction industry, e.g. planning system, building regulations and environmental policy.
    • An understanding of the design and construction of buildings, their related impacts and solutions for mitigation.
    • The ability to understand, interpret and analyse complex technical information to arrive at logical and justifiable conclusions.
    • An ability to present and communicate effectively.
    • Effective time management skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
