    About this opportunity

    The RBC Brewin Dolphin Finance Team has undergone significant change during recent years, with both systems and personnel, which has resulted in enhanced reporting capabilities and a more rewarding career.

    An exciting vacancy has arisen within the Management Accounts Team, and the potential candidate will focus upon value added reporting to enable stakeholders to make better and more informed decisions.

    This position is a 12 month maternity cover.

    Responsibilities include

    • To support the Senior Finance Manager and the Head of Financial Control, and the wider Management Accounts Team, to deliver the monthly financial result.
    • To take full responsibility for certain sections of the P&L and B/S and to be regarded as the ‘expert’ amongst your peers.
    • Participate in the monthly cost review meeting, and able to explain tends and significant movements against the relevant comparatives.
    • Business partnering to support/corporate functions, demonstrating complete understanding of their performance.
    • Involvement in all stages of the annual budget and the subsequent forecasts.
    • Aiding the auditors at half and full year.
    • Assisting with the delivery of the financial statements.
    • Facilitating the Finance System and Change Team with ongoing initiatives to increase effectiveness.

    Skills / experience

    • Good academic background, with strong A levels.
    • Educated to degree standard.
    • Looking to begin studies or part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
    • Working in small or large Financial or Management accounts teams an advantage but not a requirement.
    • Excel - Advanced general user, pivot tables and IF statements.
    • Finance systems - TM1, Pegasus Opera GL, generic General Ledgers and reporting systems experience (Power BI).
