Immerse yourself in the commercial side of our business. Take on a series of rotational placements that support our commercial teams, bringing your insights to drive our performance and decision-making on a huge range of live commercial issues.
You'll often find yourself tackling an urgent analysis piece to help provide direction on a real commercial issue. One that’ll most likely need a decision by the end of the day. This is the reality of the industry. Fast-paced, dynamic and full of unique challenges.
But what sets our Graduate Programme apart from other analytics-focused ones is that it offers genuine opportunities to drive our commercial performance. You’ll be providing senior leaders with all the necessary metrics, intuitive data visualisations and commercial, data-driven insights they need to make informed decisions. Decisions that have a widespread impact everywhere from pricing of flights to marketing communications and corporate client deals.
As you progress through your placements you’ll collaborate with, and learn from, both graduates and professional colleagues, including senior management. This gives you every opportunity to cultivate relationships, make connections and build a career as ambitious as you are.
About you
We are looking for a minimum of a 2:2 degree, or equivalent (either achieved or expected) in any subject that has involved numbers and analysis. Numerical competence and an inquisitive nature, you’ll be able to identify trends, patterns and insights from data, and have a talent for communicating complex ideas.
The teams
Analytics are pivotal to the success of our business. The Commercial Analytics scheme provides focussed support to Commercial, and the Data Science scheme provides airline wide support. We shape and contribute to the most significant change initiatives and drive better decisions through independent analytical excellence and business insight. There is a great team ethos, a culture of harnessing talent, and a reputation for developing high performers who rise to Senior Management roles across the broader business.
What our people say
“It is surprisingly simple to find yourself talking to heads of department and managers daily in a friendly environment. Everyone I have talked to at British Airways will always pay full attention to what you are saying, regardless of whether the conversation is work-related or personal.”
Kunal, Commercial Analytics Graduate
