    We’re recruiting for a Junior Designer to join our Creative & Production team!

    About the role

    As a Junior Designer you will support the British Heart Foundation (BHF) mission and champion the brand whilst balancing creativity with pragmatism.

    You’ll interrogate briefs and get beneath the surface of projects and audience needs and will deliver creative that makes our audience sit up and take notice.

    The Junior Designer will develop creative across all communications channels including digital, social, video and print. The role will collaborate closely with our talented team and work with colleagues around the charity on a variety of projects.

    Working arrangements

    This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

    At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

    About you

    As our ideal candidate, you will be a strong problem solver, with a conscientious and collaborative approach. You’ll have an excellent level of attention to detail, communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You'll be able to work well in a close-knit team, collaborating and interacting with them daily.

    You’ll have a proven track record of meeting deadlines, building positive relationships, and working with key stakeholders. You recognise the importance of continuous self-development and you’re not afraid to go the extra mile and speak up when needed. To be successful in this role, you must also have:

    • Experience of using a Mac and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (predominantly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Figma and Microsoft Office
    • Strong and demonstrable creative digital, motion graphics and print design experience either within a creative agency or an in-house creative team within the commercial or charity sectors
    • Experience of working with a strong commercial brand or large charity
    • Motion graphics and animation experience
    • Experience directing photography or illustration
