    Bromford exists to enable people to thrive – it’s why we all get up in the morning. We do this by investing in safe, secure and warm homes that serve as the perfect springboard for our customers.

    Here at Bromford our purpose is to invest in homes and relationships so people can thrive. We believe it is our customer’s basic right to have a home that is safe, secure and warm. We will not compromise on ensuring our homes are all of this and more. We want to provide homes that customers are proud to live in, that work for them and their family and are the springboard they need to achieve their aspirations – not a barrier. We currently own 45,000 homes, housing over 100,000 customers across Central and Southwest England.

    Sustainability is fundamental to our social purpose at Bromford. It is integral to our relationships with our customers and communities, the decisions we take on new and existing homes and the way we are funded. Sustainability is also fundamental to our core purpose of providing affordable, safe and secure homes to those who cannot access the private housing market, and to helping customers feel empowered and able to thrive. That’s why it has been a priority here at Bromford for some time now, shaping the way the business operates to better protect the environment and the society around us, while ensuring that what we do today doesn’t compromise where we want to get to tomorrow.

    The benefits of securing a place on our graduate scheme are endless, from earning a competitive salary, experiencing different roles and business areas, getting on-the-job training and support, to fast-tracking your career to senior leadership. We want all our colleagues to feel this is a place where they belong. We'll help you fulfil your potential, as you learn new skills and work alongside dedicated colleagues.

    The Role

    We believe that data will play a big role in helping us do this in an ever-more sophisticated manner. We have many opportunities, for instance predicting issues within people’s home before they happen, and even interacting with customers with personalised information about how they might best avoid problems with their habitat themselves. We’re at the beginning of this journey and we need a team of data scientists to lead the way.

    As our Data Scientist Graduate you will join our ICT team. Within the role you will work closely with Business, Innovation, ICT and 3rd party (cross-functional) teams to identify and create hypotheses as to how data models can make people’s lives better and/or improve business performance, owning the planning, delivery and testing of a prioritised backlog of data models. You will assist with the implementation of the entire toolset related specially to data science, employing tools and methods to create predictive models.

    We want to hear from you if you have a minimum of a 2.2 degree or Higher Level Apprenticeship at 6 or 7, ideally in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics or similar discipline..

    This is a roaming role and there will be a requirement to travel between our office locations in Wolverhampton, Lichfield, Chipping Sodbury and Tewkesbury.

    The Selection Process

    Closing dates for applications are Friday 31st March.

    Shortlisted applicants will be invited to one of our assessment centre which will all take place at our head offices as follows;

    Tuesday 25th April – Wolverhampton – 10am – 2pm

    Thursday 27th April – Lichfield – 10am – 2pm
    Friday 28th April – Tewkesbury – 10am – 2pm

    This will be followed by a final stage interview for those successful.

    The start date for the position will be Monday 4th September.

    About Us

    We are a housing association – one of the biggest in the country, with almost 45,000 homes spread across central and south west England. We believe in providing warm, safe and secure homes. But ultimately, we’re a people business. Not only do we care about the 100,000 people who live in our homes, we want them to thrive.

    We believe that having a great place to call home is just the start and with the right relationships and someone who believes in your potential, almost anything is possible. Our customers are the people that live in our homes for rent and shared ownership. Our customers are also those who rent our garages and our commercial buildings and those buying one of our homes for outright sale. That’s why we will continue to make a difference by investing in relationships and in connecting people, so our customers get to where they want to be. Because when they succeed, we succeed and that success drives us to do even more.
