    Meaningful Work From Day One

    This role is for a highly motivated marketer looking to shape the future of a portfolio of dynamic Emerging Brands in the UK.

    The brand manager is responsible for driving profitable growth by building the strategic plans of some of these brands and ensuring best in class execution collaborating closely with the Head of Marketing and key UK & Global stakeholders.

    This is a role which requires an ability to advocate & champion these brands and engage with the UK Brown Forman wider team while being responsible for developing the Emerging Brands intern.

    Brands in scope: Chambord Liqueur, Fords Gin & Finlandia Vodka

    This position requires approximately 15% of time travelling.

    What You Can Expect

    Strategic Leadership

    • Active member of the Emerging Brands leadership team, supporting the Head of Marketing to shape the direction and growth of the portfolio
    • Develop the brand strategies while being the face of these brands in the UK
    • Develop strong working relationships with internal, external and global stakeholders

    Deliver Growth and Build Iconic Brands

    • Development of annual brand plans seeking approval from local, regional and global brand stakeholders
    • Bring the brand plans to life by leading and delivering best in class communication strategies and activation plans partnering closely with the UK cross functional team
    • Manage relationships with creative, media, sponsorship and BTL agencies to build and implement agreed strategy and plans
    • Work with the BBI team (Brand and Business Insights) to measure and review all relevant research data information and identify insights to unlock growth
    • Build a strong partnership with IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) to drive the communication agenda of the brands in the UK as well as championing a test & learn approach
    • Strongly partner with production and global team to ensure UK needs are fulfilled

    Commercial and financial management

    • Guardian of the brand P&Ls - optimising strategy, investment, pricing & promotions across channels & SKU mix.
    • Monitor brand performance through monthly business reviews and determine corrective action where necessary in conjunction with sales counterparts.
    • Manage the full A&P budgets for the brands including regular meeting with finance and budget owners to track spend
    • Spend time in the trade to understand practical implementation of all marketing promotional activities and competition

    Coaching and development

    • Day to day coaching of one intern to develop their marketing and leadership skills and experience while providing clear direction on key priorities
    • Support the intern development through on-going appreciative & constructive feedback
    • Act as a role model of B-F values - support a Diverse and Inclusive culture where different perspectives are encouraged and individuals feel connected and valued

    What You Bring to the Table

    • Marketing or related tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience)
    • FMCG/Spirit background
    • Experience in (operational) responsibility in ATL and BTL activities (including ECOM)
    • Strong & proven commercial skills
    • Passion for brands and able to translate this into “ambassador” style of attitude and behaviour to the rest of the organisation
    • On Trade knowledge and/or experience would be a plus
