    Reporting into the Senior Applications Specialist, you will be part of the Finance Systems Team, based in Salford Quays and Leeds. Working collaboratively with colleagues around the Bupa world, you will provide functional support on the use of the ResourceLink.

    What you’ll do

    • Analyse and understand at a detailed level the functional capabilities of ResourceLink and other payroll systems, their effect on the customer, current system footprint, and the impact of any customisations/configuration on existing and proposed functionality.
    • Partner with technical support and development teams and customers to balance proposed solutions against system integrity and meeting business requirements.
    • Assist in the interpretation of business requirements and provide advice and guidance on best practice systems application use.
    • Contribute to development of project documentation (e.g. functional design specifications, functional user tests and test plans) within appropriate timescales and to prescribed quality standards.
    • Maintain the quality processes for the team e.g. update and development of test packs and system footprint in line with defined guidelines.
    • Create test scenarios to meet pre-defined test plans (functional and user) for upgrades, new modules, or change requests and participate in the execution of testing (UAT/Systems/end to end).
    • Contribute to definition of business requirements, and to document and analyse solutions that are translatable by technical developers, easy to understand for business users/ project teams and to IS quality standards.

    • Current undergraduate student in your penultimate year of your degree
    • Any degree disciplines

    Essential skills

    • Advanced MS Windows and Office skills, (especially Excel, although training is available)
    • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks, deliver work requests / solutions to high standards whilst working to tight deadlines with attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate
    • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines
    • Ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of new technology
    • Strong analytical skills
