From helping shape entire cities to adapting infrastructure to deal with the climate emergency, a career at Buro Happold presents the chance to make a difference. This opportunity is to join our IM and BIM Consultancy team in our London or Bath office.
What is Information Management?
Our Information Management experts bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to support a broad range of organisations, businesses and multi-stakeholder projects as a trusted collaborator in the safe, secure and efficient management, curation and interrogation of their data.
There is an element of data management in every project we work on, the quantum of which varies across projects, clients and sectors. From BIM (building information modelling) to city-scale digital twinning, we utilise a range of digital technologies to manage all the data and information from our multidisciplinary projects around the globe (see our BIM page and Asset Consulting). We are also able to bring our information management consulting experience to help improve clients’ operations, projects and schemes to increase their efficiencies, reduce risk, improve quality and support collaboration.
Our clients benefit from Buro Happold's ability to make data and information work for them. We enable better outcomes through enhanced Information Management (IM) that transforms performance.
As a specialist engineering consultancy, we understand how unique industry challenges pertaining to time, quality and cost can best be addressed using IM expertise. Our service encompasses strategic Information Management, Building Information Modelling (BIM) implementation, Common Data Environments (CDEs), Asset Information Models (AIMs) and Digital Twins.
Buro Happold’s pioneering approach is not only effective for client projects and programmes but also integral to broader social initiatives. We are part of the UK BIM Alliance, both as supporters and previously as a member of the operational executive board. The practice is also participating in an Innovate UK-funded consortium that aspires to increase productivity, performance and quality in construction through open source data exchange.
We are a two-time AEC Excellence Award winner (2017, 2018) for the application of BIM. More recently, Buro Happold received the 2019 Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Building Performance Award for Building Performance Consultancy (Over 1,000 Employees).
