    We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Systems Developer to join our team at our head office location in Woolpit, Suffolk. This is a full time, permanent position in which you will provide systems development. Integration and support for the BUUK Infrastructure Group of Companies. Starting salary from £30,242 per annum.

    As part of the specialised BUUK IT Graduate Programme you will be asked to deliver several presentations and deliverables to demonstrate your development during the programme. You will be assigned a mentor to ensure you are given full support and guidance to start your career with us.

    Responsibilities will include 

    • Support and maintenance of in-house systems, intranets, and web sites
    • Analysing user requirements or, where appropriate, supporting colleagues performing the Analysis role
    • Design and development of in-house systems and integration with current and future off the shelf systems and technologies
    • Database design and support and liaising with colleagues performing database administration roles, ensuring data integrity.
    • Maintaining security controls relevant to company systems and databases
    • Maintaining all software and database objects in the appropriate source/version control systems and working with colleagues to ensure these are secured adequately
    • Development and support of in-house reporting and collaboration systems

    While you do not have to have industry specific experience, you will have a degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or similar subject. While training will be provided on any in-house systems, knowledge of JavaScript or Python is desirable, along with using database technologies such as SQL Server or Postgres. Graduates applying for the role must be willing to learn and attend further training courses if required.
