As a Graduate Engineer within our 2 Bar and Below or Above 2 Bar Engineering teams you’ll develop a broad understanding of the gas distribution network gaining exposure to a variety of topic areas, networking with a range of individuals across the company and wider industry.
What you'll do
Joining a team of subject matter experts, you will help to develop our Engineering Framework, ensuring that we operate within the requirements of legislation and regulation by developing policies and procedures to ensure competence and compliance across the organisation to ensure a safe, secure, efficient and sustainable supply of energy.
Our Engineering team cover the length and breadth of the Cadent region and operate a hybrid working model recognising the benefits this brings to the employee, the company and the environment. To support your development, face to face interaction with your team and stakeholders is vital and travel across the networks to visit various offices and operational sites is key

Key accountabilities
- Provide technical knowledge and guidance to assist in resolving complex technical issues
- Assess asset risks and the effectiveness of controls and mitigations in place
- Review engineering solutions for assets requiring remediation following inspection, maintenance and surveillance activities
- Provide engineering knowledge to the business in order to support key recommendations relating to strategic engineering decision making
- Support the development of engineering documents
About You
We’re looking for engineering graduates who act with curiosity, courage, pride, purpose and ownership to join our team. Along with:
- An degree in a relevant engineering or Mathematics discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical, Mechanical, Oil and Gas, Safety, Aerospace, Civil, Safety, Process, Automotive.
- Valid UK driving licence
