    This is an entry-level role, suited to those who or are due to graduate university in 2024 or have already graduated. Our Graduate Development Programme is a two-year learning programme with an aim to develop well-rounded specialist graduates in a chosen business area. You are a permanent employee from day one and will have a real opportunity to make an impact at Cala through executive sponsored projects as well as completing two varying discipline rotations across the wider business.

    The programme includes

    • A three-day formal induction in Edinburgh
    • Classroom and virtual sessions covering key stages in the construction lifecycle, and key business skills such as commercial awareness and influencing
    • Interactive group projects working with a number of other graduates in disciplines across the business allowing you to build a strong network
    • Networking opportunities with senior managers and peers
    • One-to-one support from line managers, mentors, recent graduates, and industry professionals

    Alongside programme activity, you will receive on-the-job training and play an integral role within the Customer Service team in our East region. Once our customers have moved into their new home, our Customer Service teams are their main point of contact. They are on-hand to ensure that everything goes smoothly and any issues are quickly resolved. The Customer Service team in East works closely with our Commercial, Technical, Sales, and Construction colleagues to ensure a team approach.

    Your key responsibilities 

    • Provide excellent customer service through promptly addressing and resolving customer enquiries
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with customers by acting as an advocate for the customer through adopting and representing their perspective, ensuring a customer-centric approach
    • Analyse and interpret data to forecast trends and derive insights for enhancing customer service processes and overall efficiency
    • Implement and maintain robust information handling and data storage practice
    • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to understand and enhance process

    About you

    We are seeking a new team member who is confident and has the passion and drive to succeed at the highest level.

    You will have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. You should also be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Proven ability to handle data effectively
    • A can-do attitude, with ability to work on your own initiative
    • Strong people and relationship building skills
    • Effective time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • An eye for detail
    • Effective problem solving skills
    • A team-player
    • Experience in retail or a customer facing role is beneficial but not required
    • Experience in utilising Lean Six Sigma approach is beneficial but not required
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
    • Interest in the housebuilding industry
    • Industry experience is beneficial but not required
    • Must have a full Right to Work in the UK
    • Must have a willingness to travel

    Location

    Cala Homes (East) Limited is one of eight regional Cala businesses. The East team oversee Cala’s new home developments in the Lothians and Fife. This role is based in Falkirk, located at the Callendar Business Park, Callendar Road. This is a hybrid role where you are expected to work in-office at least 2 out of 5 days per week.
